Welcome to the Reading for Racquets Tennis Poster Contest!!
1 -Below are the entry forms for The 2011-12 Reading for Racquets Tennis Poster Contest and the Free 10 and under USTA membership (extended to Sept. 2012)
2 -Please download both forms and copy off as many as you need. Tape both forms to the back of each child's poster entry and fill them out. Have student circle the sentence he/she wishes to illustrate. Have parents sign the USTA membership form. Be sure children understand the meanings of the underlined national 4th grade reading vocabulary words. Good luck and...START DRAWING!!!
3 -We will send, to be used as awards, one youth tennis racquet and Quick Start Ball for every 10 children who enter from your school. Award winners are determined by you.
4 -Dates for the contest are up to the individual teacher/school, but must be completed by the end of the school year. (When students finish drawings and before you award racquets, send us the Free USTA membership forms - or for over 10 year olds in 5th grade, send their Reading for Racquets entry form, so we may determine the number of award racquets to send you. 5 -You (CTA or individual) are responsible for supplying the posters and magic markers (cost should be about one dollar per child - poster size should be 1/2 the size of a regular poster (50 cents for a whole poster at a dollar store - cut them in half. ) One box of magic markers should serve four students.
